Overview
- Haptic is currently in beta and designed to help you connect financial data to AI workflows. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you while we build the product.
Information We Collect
- Account details from Clerk (name, email, and authentication metadata).
- Subscription and billing status via Polar when you upgrade.
- Financial account metadata returned from Plaid (institution names, account types, and identifiers) once you connect accounts.
- Application telemetry such as API usage logs and error reports stored in Supabase and our server logs.
How We Use Information
- Authenticate you and secure access to the dashboard.
- Provide subscription management and invoice history.
- Generate and validate MCP tokens so your AI assistant can access your data.
- Monitor system health, debug issues, and improve product features.
Third-Party Services
- Clerk for authentication and user management.
- Plaid for secure financial account linking.
- Polar for subscription payments and checkout.
- Supabase for data storage and operational metrics.
- Vercel and Railway for hosting infrastructure.
Data Retention
- We keep account metadata and subscription records while your account remains active. MCP tokens can be revoked at any time from the dashboard. Logs and backups are retained for operational continuity but are periodically pruned during beta.
- When you disconnect a financial institution, we delete the linked account data from our databases (aside from aggregated logs required for security and compliance).
Security
- We rely on encrypted connections (HTTPS) and industry-standard practices from our providers. Sensitive credentials such as Plaid access tokens are stored encrypted and are never shared with third parties outside of the services listed above.
- Internal systems require multi-factor authentication or passkeys, and application secrets are hashed or encrypted at rest where applicable.
Your Choices
- You can disconnect financial institutions, delete MCP tokens, or cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard.
- To close your account or request a data export, contact us using the email below.
